What to expect from psychotherapy

Psychotherapy is an effective tool for rebuilding emotional resilience and well-being:

  • It helps you understand the direction you want your life to go in
  • It helps you find your inner self worth and belief
  • It helps you manage difficult circumstances and issues and helps build better relationships.

I am primarily person centred, however I do use gestalt and CBT tools to help me support clients better.  With these tools I can help you change your habits and thoughts; help you understand yourself better and together we can establish what your goals are in counselling.
​
During the first session I will complete an assessment which will establish what you would like to gain from counselling as well as explaining how I work and what to expect from the process.  You can then decide if you would like to work with me.
