I am an integrative practitioner and I draw upon several modalities that can work best for you.
Primarily, my background is the person-centred approach which believes that people are inherently good, that you are the expert of yourself and that you can take charge of your life with the right support.
My main aim is offering a supportive, non-judgemental, understanding space where you can feel accepted and valued.
I understand this at times can be challenging but I believe that with the right support you can make beneficial changes in your life and build your confidence/self-esteem.
I work with adults and young people and offer face to face, email, skype and telephone counselling.
I am based in Knowle, Solihull. I can offer early morning and evening appointments as well as daytime and offer supervision to other counsellors/psychotherapists.
I have been counsellor for over 10 years, a registered and accredited member of BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy). Prior to this I worked for several large organisations as a Human Resources Manager. Therefore, I have extensive knowledge of areas such as redundancy, workplace stress, workplace bullying, training and change management. I have a BA honours in counselling and psychotherapy from Warwick University as well as an advanced post graduate certificate in counselling supervision from Gloucester University.
I am also a qualified, email, telephone and Skype counsellor, and a specialist fertility counsellor, having a post graduate diploma from the National Fertility Society.
